Question on instructions for updating C7042 power base firmware
« on: December 08, 2014, 03:54:57 AM »
Please help. I am having problems with the instructions for updating C7042 powerbase firmware. Specifically instruction 4 that says 'within a few seconds, press UPDATE and RCS64 start updating firmware'
I am having problems finding 'RCS64 start updating firmware.' could you tell me where this is located?

Thanks,
James

Hi James
Can you try go through this list

1: Can RCS64 detect your APB?
2: Is the cable driver Installed correctly?
3; What Comport number is your ABP(Cable)?
4: Any kind off screendumbs would help understnd where the problem is!
5: Do you have any Antovirus Installed?
6: Do you use WinXP, Win7 or Win8?
7: Make sure to choose the correct comport in the update tool
8: Make sure you have started APB up in the special mode by pressing the button
9: Make sure to reset the APB after the update

Hi James and Martin,

Number 4 should read ' Within a few seconds press UPDATE and RCS64 will start updating the firmware.

The update button can be seen at the top of the screen.

Hope this makes things a little clearer.
