ABS. how does it work?
« on: September 13, 2016, 02:32:44 AM »
Hello..
Hope everyone is well today..
I just recently bought RCS64 and smart sensers, I am learning the features one by one. I'm loving RCS64 and I still have not gone near the pace cars features.  Thanks to all the RCS64 Team.

I've read the written manual v87 and I've watch the youtube videos but I have not found any information about how the ABS works, or  what its setting actual do.. Can anyone point in the direction where I can get this information about ABS?

Regards
Silvio

It is pulsing on the brake, with the given delay in the Tire wear tab. then you can change level in the pitmenu.

Hello Martin,

thank you for your reply, unfortunately, I do not understand that term..
what does that mean?

What the difference between 'ABS Level 1' and 'ABS level 4'?

Pulsing is set brake on/off by the timer set on the tire wear.  Like every 30 ms. I honestly can't remember hot level 1..4 but as I remember is level 4 the pulse time set in the tire wear tab and level 1 is 1/4 part of the pulse time.
I hope this make any sense.

ok, so pulse time is the rate it communicates. I think.

In driving terms, with your knowledge and experience, which do you think is the best ABS level to have and for what reason?

This will help me understand the effect ABS has on the cars.

Level 4 is lower brake level than level1.

Just play around with it in practice mode,to learn it. Make sure to disable all the other features like weather and fuel as a start to feel the difference.
