Here's a little update.

I have installed the Smart Sensor from Kåre, and I have re-configured the tank sizes and fuel burn rate, and everything works like a charm.
It's a lot easier for the rookies to pit, when they don't have to push and hold two buttons on the same time, in the heat of the action.

Thank you very much.

Cheers
Lars

Hi Martin,

That's correct. I definitely am one of the lucky ones ;) I live in Viby Sjælland approximately 20 minutes from Ringsted... depending on traffic. In the near future, I am ordering a smart sensor for my pit lane, so  maybe we should wait until that is installed. I guess there's a lot more features to show ones the sensors are plugged in.
I will post a picture of the track soon, so you can see what you are dealing with :) We are a bunch of amateur racers, but RCS64 makes us feel like pro's :)

Hi Martin,

Thank you very much! I changed the values for tank size to 1500 and fuel burn rate to 10 last night, and thats a lot easier than using small tank sizes and decimals.

I will test the safe speed later. Is this the same safe speed that would kick in if I install smart sensors on the pit lane? I guess it would be stupid of me to set safe speed to 0 then ;)

When we run NSR magless we use the flat 35% speederprofile. When safe speed is activated for the car, is that 40% (default) off of 35%, og is the speed actually increased by 5% - to speederprofile 40%?

Issues with version 4 / Empty fueltank issue

Hi all,

Since this is my first post here on the RCS64 forum, I would like to thank the RCS64 team for a great RMS. Viby Sj Slot Racing Club have spend countless hours of fun, hectic, dramatic - heart attack crazy racing  ;D

Now - in V1 when the cars ran out of fuel, the max speed of the was set to the 0 value in the car profile.
In V4 the cars keep racing, even if I turn on fuel usage, and fuel load simulation.

This seems to be an issue with both the importet cars from V1 and the cars created in V4.

Perhaps I'm using the fuel simulation wrong. I have set the tank size to somewhere around 1200-1500 and the burn rate to 1,2 to 2. (is it allowed to use decimals?).

I know now, from reading other posts, that the normal thing to do, is to set a much higher tank size, and then play around with the burn rate to get the
cars as equal as possible.

What do you think the problem is? Any recommendations is very much appreciated.

We have a small club meeting tonight, so I will be testing the tank size/burn rate later.

Cheers
Lars Olsen
