Great stuff Martin.  :)  Good to see you moving into new areas.
Must be the way to go as Oxigen seems to be well established now, at least for club racing. I doubt though if I will ever be able to justify the cost of the hardware for home use.

Will RCS64 Oxigen be a separate stand-alone software package or integrated into the current package?

Also, it would be great if  someone like Kaare can also exploit the wireless side of Oxigen to produce some nice Arduino/Raspberry Pi/Android based extras like individual driver displays and audio.

In video gaming, my dream has already come true! With a fantastic sim racer video game called Project Cars, I use a great little cheap app called PCars Dash  which displays a live HUD and race data/telemetry etc on phones/tablets via the home internet router and Wifi. It's a real cross-platform app as it's available on IOS, Android, Win8 phone and Windows PC.

The Oxigen version of RCS64 will be a standalone, We have desided the minimize the homemade hardware support as RCS64 SSD have reach its max off all kind off hardware. This have been a very big challenge to get it up running and honestly we have strugled and spent too much time handling all these different communication protocols in all kind off different setup I think 99%. So the Idea is to start all over again and keep the Hardware as simple as possible. You almost got it all from start with oxigen. They even have a telemetry advantage on thier controllers. I think the max will be a simple startlight. We will focus on the game, and the race featues. not by support  all kind off homemade hardware.

Lets see what time will say..

A quick overview of what will be in RCS O2's first release;

- GUI ready for 10 cars (engine ready for 20)

- 30 day free trial

- Bootloader

- Car database including picture, individual car sound, class

- Team set up including team picture and color, up to 6 drivers/team

- Event planner with practice, qualify, GP or endurance race

- Optional: Fuel (load) simulation

- Optional: Tyre wear simulation

- Optional: Weather

- Optional: Damage

- Optional: Auto track call

- Optional: False start detection

- Drive through / Stop and Go penalty

- Results with prediction for fuel/tyres and statistics/team driver

- Pitstops for fuel, tyre, repair or change driver

- Sounds

- Pre-race start screen to set fuel level, driver and tyre

- Test environment to test controller, car , pit, start-finish

- Live timing screen for 2nd monitor

Parallel development: Interactive Display Box. A small wireless display (only needs power) with touchscreen for individual teams showing race data and ability to handle pitstops by touch screen.

I probably forgot something and don't be too mad if not everything makes it in first release, however I am quite confident it does.

Stay tuned, happy racing
