Exiting the Pit

Hi Guys,
 I'm having fun w smart sensor and the pit lane...

I am having one issue, when I leave the pit area, I only get diminished speed until I reach the Scalextric 6 car base, then it is normal throttle.... this is well after the "exit sensor"

 is this a setting?

 How do I test the exit sensor?

In the main page there is a test tool for the Smart sensor

it is called simple "Arduino test"

I am pretty sure the sensor dont detect the car.
