Stuttering cars / latency in response from controller?
« on: January 10, 2015, 07:32:00 PM »
Hi!

I have noticed that sometimes there are delays when accelerating the cars when running RCS64. It seems like the computer /USB can not handle all the data. A restart of the computer usually does the trick.

Is my computer to slow? Are there any performance options that should be set on the computer to improve the performance?

*Latency is set to 1.
*I am running Windows Vista
*I am not confusing the latency with tyre wear/weather features

just to confirm, are you seeing this delay when all the options for simulating weather/tyres/fuel are switched off?

Try temporarily de-activating any antivirus program running in the background.

Also, have a look at Windows Task Manager to see what's working in the background & CPU usage.

I think you are right.

I believe that it was a antivirus program running in the background that caused the latency problems.

Thanks
