Changed the latency to 5ms but it didn't fix things. I'll just wait for the next update.

Good to hear Martin. The guys at my race nights agree, the team racing enduro makes for an excellent format! I usually have 6 to 12 guys and with running teams of two and people switching drivers every time they run out of fuel and marshalling when they are not driving, it keeps everyone involved and the down time at a minimum.

Thank you guys so much for your hard work on this system.

Issues with version 4 / Sound
« on: March 06, 2016, 12:20:04 AM »
So I was really excited to finally hook up some speakers to my system as the speakers that come out of my extra monitor and my lap top are both pretty quiet. I attached the speakers to my system via the headphone jack and changed the sound source in RCS64 to internal speakers, but the sound still came out of my extra monitor, which is connected via HDMI. I tried changing the sound source, but nothing seemed to change regardless of which one I chose (External Monitor or Internal Speakers). The sound always came from my monitor plugged in via HDMI.

Other sounds from the computer went through the plugged in speakers as expected. Am I doing something wrong??

Every time I try and start up my Arduino for my start lights in combination with RCS64 I love connection with the Powerbase. It initially detects both fine, but after about 20 seconds I get an error message that the connection with the Powerbase was lost. So I am unable to use start lights with RCS64 at this point.  :(

Any idea of things to try? My Arduino is on com port 4.

Thanks,

Heath

Future Development / Re: Decimals Vs Colons for Final Race Report

So I have found a way to make it work relatively easy. You copy and paste the files into a text editor, then you find and replace the colon with a period. Then you copy and paste it into Excel. Here is the important part, when the import dialog pops up, make sure to change the format on the columns that contain numbers from "Standard" to "English". This prevents the software from adding an ' before all of the numbers.

Never mind. I think I found out what my issue is on the SI forum. I had all but one of my controllers disabled, which was the one where the brake and lc actually worked.

We have been doing this too at our race nights. It would be great to have these team features.

Any word on the fix for calibration? I tried to calibrate my controllers last night and the brake and lc button on the controllers didn't register at all.

For a second I had a glimmer of hope that this would work as well Chris, but it seems to convert it to time regardless of if you specify the cell type previously. At least on the two versions I have tried it on.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for your response. I don't think that would help. As soon as Excel sees the format with the colon, it converts it over to 'time' format. Which would be great if it weren't interpreting that as the time of day. The way I've been able to get around it is to copy into a text editor and find and replace the colons with decimals and then copy and paste it into Excel. It's a bit of a hassle though.

Future Development / Decimals Vs Colons for Final Race Report

I had a race night a couple weeks ago and RCS64 worked perfectly for all five races! Kudos to the RCS64 Team. The program has really come a long way!

When putting together the results, I copy the HTML form directly into Excel. Unfortunately, as the times are separated with colons, Excel interprets them as times and that really screws things up. Is there any way they could be made to be decimal numbers? Not a big deal, it would just make it easier to compile my data update I send out post race.

I love the extra data you have added to the final report. Actually the more data the better so if the report could expand that would be fantastic. Maybe an option of a per lap report?

Keep up the good work guys.

Oh that makes sense! Is there a way to still have manual track call so you could reprogram/disqualify?

Issues with version 4 / Auto Track Call Not Working in One by One Mode
« on: January 26, 2016, 06:55:09 PM »
As I spend a lot of time getting my cars to be even, one by one mode is great. I am loving it. The only problem is that auto track call does not seem work, or manual track call for that matter either.

Issues with version 4 / Re: RCS64 Not Detecting Powerbase

Seems to have sorted itself out. I think the wires on the FTDI chip were crossing.

Thanks Martin,

Issues with version 4 / RCS64 Not Detecting Powerbase
« on: October 31, 2015, 03:42:45 PM »
Just got the track down after a couple week break. RCS64 does not detect the connection now. I tried restarting, disconnecting and reconnecting the power, and removing the USB connection and reconnecting. I also tried deleting the USB Driver under Com3 and then reconnecting to have it re-detect. Any ideas? I am on Windows 8.1 and it just updated. Maybe this is the problem?
