no com port found

Well i updated the firmware.installed everything.and still run i run the software it still can not find a com port or anything !!!!!!!!! i'm getting real upset with this any help would be great.
laptop with win7 2 usb port's
cable from professor motor slot which i used to up date the power base.

Hmm, very strange, this is normal related to missing driver for the cable but since you have updated the firmware it should be fine.

Don't worry we will sort this out,  I will ask you some question first.

1: Did you use RCS64 top update FW?if not what version off FW did you update your C7042 power base with?
2: In your device manager, did your cable show up with a Comport.
3: Does your PC have special permissions for your user?
4: Try startup RCS64 by Right click on the Icaon and Choose "Run as administrator".

Well the fw is the latest one think it's 1.09 .when cable is plugged in shows nothing really.says can't remember exactly and I'm the administrator for that laptop.thanks again for the help

well run another program says there are no avaible comports ,checked the firewall to.didn't help

Either a driver problem or a defect cable. Try uninstall driver, disconnect cable and reconnect. See if the cable shows up as a comport.

ok will try thank you !! the other thing i would ask. when i did the update on the power base when you start it after the update all i get now is just race and program. showing on the tower is that right?

Sorry but I can't remember. I haven't had the monitor connected since the day I bought the Powerbase. So I cannot tell.

ok so i hooked it up to a different computer and it work !!! so all this time the laptop is bad some how.so going to reformat it and try.so the other ? would be.about pit pro.does it work in the free version or not.but i will be buying the software anyway's.i want to thank you for all the support you gave me !!! outstanding !!! your the best !!!

You are in Basic mode. You need to press the right arrow at start up to select Pro.
