v4 how it works / How to control the refuel time?
« on: September 29, 2015, 11:52:03 AM »
Hi guys, lovely software you´ve got here!
But I wonder how to control the refuel time. Say I set tank size to 1000 on my cars, and Burn rate to 10. This gives me about 35 laps on a full tank with my GT40:s, which is about what I want. Now, say I want to set the refuel time to 5 sec. I realize there is this "Refuel Speed (0-200)" setting. But although a lot of experimenting, I dont understand how to translate this into real seconds. What does the equation look like?
Thanks in advance.

Issues with version 4 / Bug report: Controller calibration not working
« on: September 21, 2015, 09:46:24 AM »
I guess you might know about this too.

For me the controller calibration doesn't work. Making the calibration everything looks fine. If logging in the real-time graph afterwards everything looks right. Though when starting a race session the green meter to the right indicates that the controller is pressed for full speed even when not touched. Though in reality the car gets fed nothing when not pressing at all, and full spreed when pressing just a little. I.e. full or nothing.

Doesn't matter which controller (1-6) I try to calibrate. I have tried with different physical controllers too.

Issues with version 4 / Bug report: Selecting drivers
« on: September 20, 2015, 09:12:20 PM »
This is a bug related to selecting drivers on the "Race Management - Single Event" tab.

Lets say I have controller 2, 3 and 4 activated (i.e. SSD Controller) on the "Race Management - Controller" tab. The rest are disabled. Now on the "Race Management - Single Event" tab I want to select Driver1 on controller 2, Driver2 on controller 3 and Driver3 on controller 4. Though, last time I raced Driver1 was running with controller 1 which now is disabled (if the physical controller is attached or not doesnt seem to matter). This means the Driver1 is still selected on controller 1, though grayed out, and impossible to change on the "Single Event" tab. Now is the thing. Sometimes I still can select Driver1 for controller2, resulting in Driver1 being selected both on controller1 (which is grayed out and disabled), and on controller2. But when starting the race, it wont be Driver1 but the next one in the drivers list on "Race Management - Driver" tab who is tied to this controller2. Other times though (cant seem to figure out when), I can not select Driver1 for controller2, since Driver1 already is tied to controller1 (which is grayed out and disabled).

This is really frustrating, cause in order to make everything work as intended, I have to go back and enable controllers in order too free up drivers, before I can tie them to the controllers that I actually wanna use.

Im running:
RCS64 4.1.0.22
Windows 7 Pro, 64bit

There is no way to change how the fuel load simulation calculates, right?

Arduino / Arduino protocol?
« on: December 08, 2014, 10:44:47 AM »
I was curious if there is any information about the communication protocol between RCS64 and an Arduino. I understand the SmartSensor is based on Arduino and is communicating, but is the protocol open source? The RCS64 web page is refering to a video and a manual, but neither seem to exist. It is also refering to a thread on SlotForum but the last entry in there is from mars. (Havent read everything there, but I couldnt find the protocol.) So, anyone?

What are the function of the green buttons (one for each car)? If you click one of them it lights up.

Future Development / Qualification formats
« on: December 02, 2014, 11:16:41 PM »
When qualifying with laps set, the event ends as soon as the first driver fulfills the numer of laps. I would love to have a qual format where every driver is allowed to finish their amount of laps before the event finishes. Such a format would make it possible to qualify one driver at a time (or all at the same time).

Archived Threads / Maximize window?
« on: December 01, 2014, 08:26:38 AM »
First of all, thankyou for all your work! Just wondering, is there a way to maximize the window? I could do that on the previous version, but this version seems to have a fixed windows size. If so, how come?
