Issues with version 4 / Re: Pace cars having burst of speed.
« on: September 28, 2018, 07:01:05 PM »
Hi thanks for the reply. My pace car recording have been quite complicated, however I have simplified them. I e  constant speed and  setting as little complications as possible. I have also found that my cars speed up. This may be due to fuel usage being applied. I have found that unchecking the recoded time box  has a bearing. Try this out.
Thanks widders

Issues with version 4 / Pace cars having burst of speed.
« on: September 27, 2018, 09:00:44 PM »
Hi has any one experienced some pace cars going out of control. It seems to happen with the same cars each time and also coincides with running five or more cars.
Is it a problem with the c7042 apb or is it damage to the incar chip or is it the Rcs64 prog. I am running the prog on a  Windows 7 laptop which is exclusivley used for this purpose.
Any ideas?..
All advice welcome

Hi , can anyone tell me the best place to purchase the smart sensor, for scalextric track pit lane.
I believe that the sensors are in two sizes 1.5 or 5 mm. which one should I order?

v4 how it works / Re: Incorrect Lap times for small tracks

I have now increased the size of the track and reset the programme. It now records correct lap times and pace cars can be recorded in one lap. So all is working correctly. :

Thanks for your reply. The lap time problem also effects the controlled car. This does make for even racing i have also noticed that the skip everty tenth lap setting for pace cars does not seem to work. I am running windows 10 could this be part of the problem.

Hi, I have tried setting the min lap time to 2 secs. But this has made no difference. I tried re-recording a pace car using ‘ record without using controller’ and this resulted in a one lap record. However I then tried another car and used the same setting. Unfortunately this once again recorded two laps as one. I am scratching my head!

Hi thanks for your reply. The firmware is updated to 1.09. The S/F is just before the pit lane entrance.
I will reset the min lap time to 2 seconds as you suggest. Thanks for the advice on the smart sensors.
Love this system!

Thanks for the reply.
My lap times for one lap is 4.3 seconds and for the double lap 8.5 seconds.

just another little item I have not solved. That is getting a pace car to pit and stop. I have worked out how to get it to enter the pit lane but it goes straight through. Are pit sensors essential for this operation. I am using cross overs.

Thank you for your help.

Hi, I have tried putting in minimum lap times for one lap @ 3 seconds and also 7 seconds for the double lap time. But it still only records a lap of two circuits. Any other ideas? Thanks for your reply.
