Hi
Could we possibly see this scenario for Scorpius and icp.....

Brake button for tc/pit menu, brake knob for fully proportional on the fly brakes, menu button for access to the headlights on/off function,as long as the menu button is pressed for less than 2 seconds it will not open the menu.

RCS64 News / Re: Cannot connect to APB or Smart Sensors
« on: June 30, 2015, 09:38:51 PM »
Hi
Technically if you have run Ssdc then the ftdi drivers are installed but it may be that rcs64 can not see them so try downloading the drivers from the rcs64 program like you did with the apb firmware.

You could also try running rcs in administrator mode and the you can get access to the latency time for the ftdi cable driver.

Hi
This is entirely possible and has been a feature in Ssdc for the last 4 years.

Hi
In car pro should add adjustable on the fly brakes but you will need Scorpius throttle to be able to use it.

Hi
There are multiple ways to alter braking effect, have a look in the tyres menu which allows differing brake delays to be set.

Hi
Just got a clean copy of Audacity so started to make my own sounds, the plan being if you drive a MK2 Escort on track then you will here a full house Cosworth BDG on song, which I've already done,Lotus Cortina next and then onto the LMP cars.

Pit sounds and back ground ambience are all planned...

Hi
I've just emailed Marcel with a few more sounds so give him a while and if you ask nicely he might pass them on. :)

Hi
I've spent a lot of time trying to get real car sounds but the sites that have them listed want stupid money for them but the search has given me another idea but it will take a bit of time to get them together.

Using a youtube downloader I can then convert them from mp4 into mp3 or wav and then edit them for fade in and out,I've already found a great site on youtube that has high Def sound and the cars filmed are current lmp cars and most of the past and present crop of superclass, the Ferrari Fxx is staggering.

So once I have compiled a few i will pass them on.

Hi
I've converted all my sound files from mp3 into wav format and them compressed them into 8 bit and they all work in rcs64 v2 and v4.

I've got them in two zip files both of which I've passed on to Marcel but as the team is on there hols at the present it may be a while before you see them.

If however you would like them sooner then please pm me your email address and I will send the files over, there are some which are already included but there are many new ones and even ones I've joined together to make some great into the pitlane sounds and race end sounds, there is a great air jack sound which is in its original format and other versions where I've included it in other sounds.

One thing I have noticed is at the end of certain races, most notably dtm there is a fireworks display,so now there is a very good fireworks sound and also files that I've joined using the fireworks sound.

It may be that RCS can accept 16 bit stereo format but for now all the files are in there smallest size which is the above mentioned 8 bit.

I will see if I can link or somehow send the file convertor/joiner I've been using its free and very simple to use,and as I found out the other day,if you just want to convert then you can load all your files in at the same time and just hit format/quality/convert,it's that easy.

If you try to stretch the files to high,32 bit the RCS crashes.
