Issues with version 4 / Resolution viewing problems

Please can someone advise... When I click start event on the race management screen the race menu  opens but I'm unable to view the weather conditions at the bottom of the screen and I also have to drag the menu left and right with the mouse to view all options. This also happens in the car setup option. I've tried running the laptop a different resolutions but I still can't view the whole menu.

I'm limited to only two resolution settings on my laptop, I was wondering if this was the problem?
