Arduino / Re: Arduino protocol?

You can find that out by knowing the communication protocol.
Uhm, yeah. So how can I get to know the communication protocol? Is that what you will ask Kåre to update?

No, that is a list of the commands the SmartSensor responds to. I would like to know how RCS64 communicates the start sequence/a track call and so on to an Arduino (i.e. for building start lights, and possibly other physical dashboards). This is discussed in the SlotForum thread, but I cant find any protocol.

Arduino / Arduino protocol?
« on: December 08, 2014, 10:44:47 AM »
I was curious if there is any information about the communication protocol between RCS64 and an Arduino. I understand the SmartSensor is based on Arduino and is communicating, but is the protocol open source? The RCS64 web page is refering to a video and a manual, but neither seem to exist. It is also refering to a thread on SlotForum but the last entry in there is from mars. (Havent read everything there, but I couldnt find the protocol.) So, anyone?

Ok, great. A label explaining is always a good idea.

v4 how it works / Green buttons on Pacer tab?

What are the function of the green buttons (one for each car)? If you click one of them it lights up.

Future Development / Re: Race statisics

It would be nice (especially during practice) to get an average lap time for the stint, with the posibility to subtract all laps with a time longer than x sec (i.e. the laps with deslotings). I also would like to see this time during driving. I think it would be a good tool for evanuating different gearings.

Future Development / Qualification formats
« on: December 02, 2014, 11:16:41 PM »
When qualifying with laps set, the event ends as soon as the first driver fulfills the numer of laps. I would love to have a qual format where every driver is allowed to finish their amount of laps before the event finishes. Such a format would make it possible to qualify one driver at a time (or all at the same time).

Issues with version 4 / Bugs and suggestions
« on: December 02, 2014, 12:39:48 PM »
Have been playing around some more:

1. Pace car tab
There is a green button/lamp for each lane. Im under the impression that it´s supposed to turn on/off the power for the pace car. If so, it doesnt work. Power is always on (as long as the controller is not attached). If not so, it would be nice to have such a feature here. I also wish for a checkbox that makes the pace car randomly lane change on the fly (like in the original power base).

2. Starting an event
When staring an event there is a green button for actually starting the event, but it is greyed out. You have to click on all the controls in order to start the event. I would love to have the green button work. I often set up cars on all lanes when drivning by myself, for tuning them against each other, and now I have to run around and press all the controlers like a maniac  ;D.

Keep up the good work!
Regards
Matt

Uh, sorry. The maximize button is there.  :-[
I was using a lower resolution on my laptop. Found them when I opened it on my stationary.
(This is a good time not mentioning I´m a computer engineer lol)

Issues with version 4 / Minor annoyance
« on: December 01, 2014, 08:32:43 AM »
If you turn the powerbase off while RCS64 is connected, you get the message box question about reconnecting. When answering no the message box closes and then reopens again with the same question. This happens a few times (5?) before the program is satisfied and doesnt ask anymore.

Archived Threads / Maximize window?

First of all, thankyou for all your work! Just wondering, is there a way to maximize the window? I could do that on the previous version, but this version seems to have a fixed windows size. If so, how come?
