I'm not keen on the stretching either, but having black bars around the edges would cause issues with the black text.

Hi Btrain,

Thanks for posting your issue.

Do you have SmartSensors or Pit Pro?

If Smartsensors are on but all features, Fuel etc are off it is still possible to activate the PitMenu by driving over the sensors and into the pits.

I can't think of any other way that you can enter the PitMenu without other features being on.

Was it the same ID that this happened on each time?

If you can it would be really useful to post some screenshots of your settings (Main Page, Controller, Single event page). It is simple to add images to a post by clicking on the Add image to post wording above this text box.

Hopefully we can sort this issue for you.

Future Development / Re: Race statisics
« on: November 30, 2014, 11:22:07 PM »
Nice video Balu,

I really like the graph at 4 seconds - It really tells the story of the race

Also like the graph at 6 seconds.

Table at 10 seconds is simple and very easy to use.

Table at 14 again tells the story of the race well.

So, other than the obvious lap times I think race position on each lap is a great thing to see.

Also time between each racer on each lap is good.

Fuel level over the duration of the race for each driver.

All of these I saw in Balu's video.

Just took some more car pictures that look a lot better when on the dashboards.

And them on dashboards -

One of the great things about RCS is that you can have an image of the car that you are driving displayed on your dashboard.

But, how do you take a good picture of your cars?

Well, I'm no expert but here is what I do and I think the results are reasonable :)

Here is an example of one of my pictures -

As you can see I take the picture against a white background on a white table.

I have found that it is best to take the pictures at an Aspect Ratio of 16:9 and Picture Size of 640x360 - not really got a clue what this means but it was what was written on the camera :-[

The picture shown is not that great for use in RCS as you can see. In fact I have transposed most of my images so they work better -as you can see in the bottom image.

The next photos I take will all show the car pointing towards the right and will be taken from a little farther away. This should give more room for the text to show up better.

I have made all my car photos available to RCS Forum users - go to media to view.

Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge about Photography will add to this post in the future :)

No idea who did the programming for the rain effect. Maybe it was Roadkill, I will ask him.

Issues with version 4 / Re: Distance calculation?
« on: November 30, 2014, 02:47:05 AM »
Nice question Mr Flip.

The Miles/KM option is to choose whether you would like to have the results shown in Metric or Imperial. Whichever you choose for this option, is the unit that you should enter the length of your track in. That bit is simple.

As for the distance at the end, I think that is the actual distance. Therefore the speed is actual speed not scale speed. I can understand the confusion as it does say Scale distance above the KM/Miles selection option.

If I am correct in what I am saying, and I may not be, then perhaps the wording 'Scale Distance' should be changed to something like 'Units of Measure'. Sounds a bit grandiose :-[. Open to suggestions!

Issues with version 4 / Bug Reporting
« on: November 30, 2014, 02:35:41 AM »
Please report any bugs you find in v4 here.
Don't be shy we know that there are bugs in the software that we have not found yet. The only way we can make RCS64 better is with the help of our users.
Go on report a bug ;)

Hi Mr Flip,

Yes I think the idea is to do the bug reporting on this forum. I think I will start a new post on this board for Bug Reporting. Give me a few minutes and I will have it ready for you.

Andy P

P.S It is fantastic to have you on board. I'm sure your comments on this forum will be greeted with both sincere thanks and appreciation from both Team RCS and the RCS users ;D

Issues with version 4 / Issues with Registration Key entry
« on: November 29, 2014, 02:33:34 AM »
Probably the most common issue we have with RCS is with the entry of the Registration Data.

Once the data is entered correctly the words "NonFree(Paid Version)" will populate the text box. The APB does not have to be connected for this to happen.

If the key does not appear to work, first check that you have not put any spaces anywhere in either your email address or Registration Key.

Check that you have used Capital letters for the registration key and that you have put the hyphens in.

Note: we may have made a mistake in how we have entered your email - just copy the error we made :o

If you are absolutely sure that you have entered the key and your email correctly contact Team RCS at rcs64rms@gmail.com.

We will send you a new key which should solve the problem :)

Hi Balu,

Glad you like it and yes I also find running our of fuel a problem - crawling back to the pits at safe speed before you get rear ended >:( Slightly easier on my track than your giant track :)
